Jeroen Leffelaar, Managing Director Large Corporates Food & Agri, Rabobank
Mr. Jeroen Leffelaar is Managing Director at the wholesale banking division of Rabobank, focusing on food & agri business internationally. He is a senior banker in the global animal protein client franchise providing financing, risk management and advisory services to a broad group of clients in farming, slaughtering & processing of pork, beef, poultry, aquaculture and fisheries. Prior to joining Rabobank in 2006, Jeroen held various positions in corporate finance and investment banking at a.o. Citigroup and Credit Suisse.

Alf-Helge Aarskog, CEO, Marine Harvest
Mr. Aarskog has served as CEO of Marine Harvest since 2010. Prior to this position, he was the CEO (2009 to 2010) and Exective Vice President (2007 to 2009) at Lerøy Seafood Group ASA. His previous positions include Managing Director (2004 to 2007) of Lerøy Midnor AS, a subsidiary of Lerøy Seafood Group ASA, and Head of Production (2002 to 2004) at Fjord Seafood ASA, a company that was later merged with Marine Harvest. He holds a degree in Fish Nutrition from the University of Agriculture in Norway. Mr. Aarskog was previously on the Board of The Norwegian Seafood Research Fund (FHF) and The Norwegian Seafood Federation (Sjømat Norge). In addition, he was recently appointed to the Board of Directors of Morpol ASA.

Henning Lund, Seafood Analyst, Pareto Securities Equity Research
Mr. Lund holds a Master of Management from the Norwegian Business School (siv.øk. BI). Henning has been a Seafood Analyst for 13 years with prior employers as DnB and Glitnir among others. He has focused on seafood farming, but has also long experience in valuation of wild catch companies and the seafood processing industry. In addition, Lund has followed the fishmeal/oil industry in Peru, Chile and Norway. Prior to being a Financial Analyst Lund worked as Research Director in a marketing research company in Norway.

Anthony C. Ostrowski, Chief Scientific Officer, Sino Agro Food Inc.
Dr. Ostrowski is Chief Scientific Officer with Sino Agro Food Inc., a US incorporated protein food company with operations in the Peoples Republic of China. He has over 30 years of research and executive management experience in the aquaculture industry having been lead scientist on numerous multi-million dollar research grants in the US, the Director and Executive Committee Chair of a multi-state, multi-institutional shrimp research consortium, and President and CEO of the internationally recognized aquaculture research and development organization, Oceanic Institute, in Hawaii. Dr. Ostrowski has over 100 publications and presentations in all aspects of marine shrimp and fish aquaculture, and served on several boards and technical committees within the aquaculture community providing both scientific and strategic direction that helped establish domestic and international standards for the field. Dr. Ostrowski obtained his Bachelor’s degree from Pennsylvania State University in Biology, and Masters and Ph.D. from Michigan State University with an emphasis in aquaculture nutrition. He recently completed work as General Manager and CEO of Wanshida Ocean Biotech in Yangjiang, PRC, a start-up company focused on selective breeding of marine shrimp.

Ian D. Smith, Chief Executive Officer, Clearwater Seafoods Inc.
Mr. Ian D. Smith is the Chief Executive Officer of Clearwater Seafoods. Smith joined Clearwater in May 2010 bringing to this role over 26 years of global experience in the food and consumer products industry. Prior to joining Clearwater, Smith held senior leadership positions at Campbell Soup Company in the United States, China and Canada including Vice-President and General Manager of Campbell Soup Company Greater China and Vice-President of Business Development for North America. Prior to Campbell, Smith held positions in marketing, sales and international business development with Allergan, Colgate-Palmolive and the Gillette Company.

Smith is a Board Member of the Canadian Council of Chief Executive Officers, a member of the Advisory Council for Canada’s Global Markets Action Plan for the Ministry of International Trade, a Board Member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada’s Corporate Oversight and Governance Advisory Board, a member of the Board of Governors of Food & Consumer Products of Canada and a Board Member of The Atlantic Provinces Economic Council. Smith is a three time recipient of Atlantic Business Magazine recognition as a Top 50 CEO in Atlantic Canada.

Mr. Smith is a graduate of McGill University (BA Economics, MBA) and a former Captain in the Canadian Armed Forces Reserve.

Ian Trahar, Executive Chairman, Seafarms Group Ltd
Mr. Trahar has a resources and finance background and has established and been involved in a number of businesses in the resources industry. He holds an MBA from the University of Melbourne.

Malcolm DF Pye, CEO, Benchmark Holdings plc
Mr. Pye is the CEO of Benchmark Holdings. He leads the development of group strategy in relation to growth, research, marketing and the deployment of resources. Malcolm is a graduate of Zoology/Applied Zoology from the University of Wales (Bangor). He has over 30 years of experience in international agribusiness, including at board level within the Hillsdown Holding/HMTF animal breeding, feed milling, veterinary and poultry companies. During his time at Hillsdown, Mr. Pye also worked extensively on M&A projects, leading and advising on acquisitions, disposals and integration strategies.

Regin Jacobsen, CEO, Bakkafrost
Mr. Jacobsen (born 1966) has been the CEO of Bakkafrost since 1989. Mr. Jacobsen is educated at Aarhus School of Business, Graduate Diploma in Business Administration and Accounting (HD-R). From 1982 to 1988, Mr. Jacobsen was Accounting Manager of the former P/f Bakkafrost, and from 1988 until 2006, he held the position of Managing Director of the former P/f Bakkafrost.

Ronald L. Stotish, CEO, AquaBounty Technologies
Mr. Stotish, Ph.D. is CEO, President and Executive Director of AquaBounty Technologies. Ron joined AquaBounty in 2006 as Vice President for Regulatory Affairs. Prior to joining AquaBounty, Ron was Executive Vice President for R&D at MetaMorphix, Inc. He previously served as Vice President for Global Pharmaceutical Research and Development at Fort Dodge Animal Health, and held a variety of positions at American Cyanamid.

Mr. Stotish began his career in basic research at Merck. Ron has degrees in Biochemistry and over forty years’ experience in the discovery, development, and commercialization of new animal health products. Ron is a member of the Board of Directors of BIO, the Biotechnology Industry Organization, and serves on the Food and Agriculture Section Governing Board of BIO. He is a member of the World Aquaculture Society, Global Aquaculture Alliance, the American Association for the Advancement of Science, and the National Institute for Animal Agriculture.

Steven Chambers, Senior Analyst, Anavon Capital
Mr. Chambers joined Anavon Capital in 2014 and employs the firm’s operationally intensive research approach to identify investment opportunities across a range of sectors; he specialises in industry segments that are related to the consumer. Aquaculture has been an investment theme across his career and salmon farming constitutes an important and long-term exposure for Anavon. Prior to joining Anavon, Chambers was the Consumer Analyst at Pensato Capital for 5 years.

Alan Shaw, Ph.D., CEO, Calysta
Mr. Shaw, Ph.D., is President and Chief Executive Officer of Calysta, and a member of the Board of Directors. He joined in 2012. Dr. Shaw is a veteran Biotechnology Entrepreneur and Chemical Industry Executive, with more than 25 years of experience building and leading technology companies. Before joining Calysta, he served for ten years as President & CEO and a Director of Codexis, a developer of cost-advantaged processes for production of biofuels, bio based chemicals and pharmaceuticals. During his tenure, Codexis completed an IPO and expanded from a startup to a global industrial biotechnology company with operations in the United States, Europe and Asia. In 2010, Dr. Shaw received the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award in the life sciences category for Northern California. He serves as a Biotechnology Advisor to the governments of the United Kingdom and Malaysia, and is a frequent speaker on energy at leading business and industry conferences.

David Wagner, Vice President Seafood Merchandising, Wegmans Food Markets
Mr. Wagner has been working for Wegmans for 28 years and has grown with the company. He was a store manager prior to coming up to the corporate offices to help start up the Nature’s Marketplace departments and Organic Private Label brand. When Wegmans expanded into New Jersey, he started up the Wine and Spirits division as Director. Since 2013 he has been Vice President of Seafood Merchandising with responsibilities for procurement, department design and employee training and development.

Thor Talseth, Portfolio Manager, AMERRA Capital Management
Mr. Talseth has a long record of accomplishments from the seafood and banking industries. Thor is responsible for managing the investment process related to equity opportunities within AMERRA Capital Management – an Agri-business focused Asset Manager based in New York. Mr. Talseth has been actively involved in a number of large seafood transactions as executive, adviser and corporate banker. He is Founding Partner of Neptune Partners, and has previously been Head of Seafood within Corporate Finance at Arctic Securities, Executive Chairman of the Board of Aqua Bio Technology ASA, Managing Director of Landsbanki Norway, Chief Financial Officer at Catch Communication ASA, and Chief Executive Officer for Fjord Marin ASA. Mr. Talseth holds a B.Sc. in Finance from Trondheim Business School (TØH), and programs from Executive Master of Management from The Norwegian Business School (BI).

Andrey Teterkin, General Director, Russian Fishery LLC
Mr. Teterkin has served as the General Director of Russian Fishery LLC since 2012. Prior to this position, he was the General Director and a Board member of SIBUR-Mineral Fertilizers and Vice President for Strategy and Development at the Evraz Group, a vertically integrated steel, mining and vanadium concern. Mr. Teterkin is a graduate of the Moscow Institute of Finance and Economics and the Rotterdam School of Management at Erasmus University.

Gabriel Viteri, Vice President of Strategy and Business Development, ACME Smoked Fish Corporation
Mr. Viteri is the Vice President of Strategy and Business Development for ACME Smoked Fish Corporation. His responsibility for strategic development at ACME includes identifying, researching, and executing growth opportunities and strategic alliances to support the company in collaboration with operating business units. Marketing, R&D, Food Safety and Quality Assurance are departments that fall under his responsibility. Prior to his current role, Gabriel was the Director of Quality Assurance / R&D at ACME Smoked Fish. With over 16 years of experience in the seafood industry, Gabriel has made significant contributions to the safety and quality of ACME’s products and processes. Mr. Viteri holds a degree in Food Science from Cornell University and an MBA from NYU Stern.

Ashley Bouldin, Engagement Planning Director, The Food Group
Ashley Bouldin is the Engagement Planning Director at The Food Group, a full-service marketing agency serving the food and beverage industries. Ashley provides The Food Group’s clients’ brand and communications planning as well as support for clients’ retail and foodservice customers. She has extensive experience in the seafood industry, having worked with several brands and commodity boards.
Prior to The Food Group, Ashley worked as a Marketing Analyst in the food packaging industry, where she supported the launch of the first fully compostable foodservice packaging line.
Ashley earned a BBA in Marketing Communications and an MBA from The University of Mississippi in Oxford, MS.

Michael Donner, President, Pontos Aqua
Michael is a Partner at Tinicum Incorporated (together with its affiliates, “Tinicum”) and President of Pontos Aqua Holdings, LLC (“Pontos Aqua”). Tinicum is a private investment firm based in New York that is currently investing $1.5 billion of committed capital and owns Pontos Aqua, which makes investments in the aquaculture industry globally. Pontos Aqua is focused on acquiring companies in private transactions or restructurings and on making minority investments in public and private companies.
Previously, Michael worked in the Principal Investment Area (“PIA”) at Goldman Sachs in New York and London and for the Associated Group, the Berkman family investment office, in New York.
He is a graduate of Princeton University, from which he graduated with a degree in economics, and of the Stanford Graduate School of Business, from which he received his MBA.

Pål Korneliussen, Publisher, IntraFish Media
Pål Korneliussen, Publisher of IntraFish Media, has led the company for over 10 years. Before venturing into media Mr. Korneliussen worked in seafood (Lerøy Seafood, Kolnor Trading) and as a Management Consultant in the fish farming industry. Korneliussen holds a Master of Science in Economics and Business Administration.

Drew Cherry, Editorial Director, IntraFish Media
Drew Cherry is the Editorial Director of IntraFish Media, the world's largest seafood news and information provider. Cherry was born and raised in Alaska, and holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of California at Davis, and a Master’s in Professional Writing from the University of Southern California.
